We have a prominent Compliance function that leads the industry, meticulously ensuring that our firm, employees, and processes adhere to applicable regulations and professional standards. Our dedicated team of functional experts provides support and oversight for various business units, investing strategies, regions, and vendor relationships. Compliance officers are integrated into key business processes, including investing, training, and hiring, to ensure ongoing adherence to compliance requirements.

RISK MANAGEMENT

Our Risk Management team is dedicated to ensuring that the risks we undertake in pursuit of returns are deliberate and well-managed. Through rigorous statistical analysis, factor evaluation, and scenario assessment, the team formulates comprehensive policies and limits. They also allocate capital strategically and maintain real-time oversight of risk within individual portfolios as well as across the entire firm. This proactive approach enables us to navigate the investment landscape with prudence and confidence.

INVESTMENT LEADERSHIP

The Investment Leadership team assumes responsibility for overseeing our discretionary investment teams, ensuring portfolio manager engagement, and spearheading talent recruitment and development efforts. They provide comprehensive operational support to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, compliance and risk officers are strategically aligned with specific sectors and regions, fostering ongoing collaboration, cultivating strong working relationships, and facilitating shared success throughout the organization.

SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES

REDUCING EMISSIONS

Greenhouse gas emissions and their impact on global warming have emerged as a critical sustainability concern. To address this, we conduct regular internal carbon emissions analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of our environmental initiatives and identify opportunities for further improvements. By monitoring our carbon footprint, we strive to contribute to a more sustainable future.

RECs

Since 2018, we have taken significant steps to mitigate our environmental impact at our Stamford campus by purchasing renewable energy certificates (RECs). These RECs effectively neutralize 100% of the electricity consumption, contributing to a reduction in emissions. Moreover, by supporting renewable energy projects, the purchase of RECs provides valuable production subsidies, incentivizing further development of sustainable energy sources.

REDUCING WASTE

In 2016, we embarked on an initiative aimed at reducing our firm’s environmental footprint and engaging employees in our ongoing sustainability efforts. Through this initiative, we focused on increasing in-office recycling, minimizing the use of disposable plastics across our global offices, and actively working towards reducing landfill waste. Our commitment to these measures demonstrates our dedication to creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible workplace.
